History

The Houston Gator Club® was founded to bring University of Florida alumni and fans together across the greater Houston area. The Houston Gator Club® is an affiliated organization of the University of Florida Alumni Association and is bound together to assist the UFAA in achieving its goals. The Club's goal is to foster a spirit of loyalty and pride in University of Florida alumni and friends within the greater Houston area.

Members get together regularly for various social events, including football and basketball watch parties, happy hours, networking events, and community service!

The Houston Gator Club® undertakes fundraising activities throughout the year to support the Club's Scholarship Fund, which is dedicated to providing scholarships for Houston-area high school students who will attend the University of Florida. Why join the UFAA?

There is NO SEPARATE JOINING of the Houston Gator Club. All UF Alumni members are automaticay part of their local Gator Club.

Membership in the Houston Gator Club® and the UFAA is a direct link to the Gator Nation. Membership dues directly support the Alumni Association's student scholarships, student programming and alumni programming, including Gator Clubs®, Distinguished Alumni Professors, Outstanding Young Alumni Awards and so much more! The UFAA also provides over $400,000 in scholarships to hundreds of students annually, including students from the Houston area. UFAA membership is truly the best way to support it all and strengthen the Gator Nation. Joining the UF Alumni Association is simple with single and joint memberships available on both an annual and lifetime basis.

Meet our executive board

Our executive board is made up of Gator alumni who volunteer their time to serve the Houston Gator Club®. We are grateful for the time, energy, and dedication they put into this Club to make it the best it can be. Feel free to reach out to any of our officers with suggestions for Club events — we always welcome new ideas! For those looking to get involved, board elections take place annually in July. Board membership requires attendance at monthly board meetings, Club events, and outside planning and preparation. Looking to volunteer but not sure the board is right for you? Consider joining our Events Committee! There are always spots available and the time commitment is less compared to the executive board.
